Chico Chorro - born May 21, 1970 - died Sept 2, 1999

It was necessary to have the vet come to euthanize my Paso Fino stallion, Chico at 1 p.m. Sept 2,1999 as his hindquarters were totally useless - there was no way he could get up even with three of us trying to
help him. He had fought arthritis and neurological problems for over a year and the decision to end his
suffering did not come easily. Native American's have a saying: "It was a good day for dying today". The
sun shone brightly, the birds flew above as if to help guide his peaceful spirit up to Heaven where I will
join him someday in the future. He no longer feels any aches or pains and can run free as the wind with
his mom and the others who have preceded him. We had 29 1/2 wonderful years together as Chico joined my family when he was just one month of age. He was the very best horse anyone could have ever had and I was blessed to have been able to share so many years together with him. The beautiful orange jewelweed flowers surrounding the area where he is buried will remind me of his beauty. I know that anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him will have nothing but fond memories of him and his perfect gentlemanly manners. Rest in Peace, my dear friend and confidante, Chico.
