Country Meadow Soapworks was founded in January 2002 after Michelle Pearson spent a year experimenting (and becoming addicted to) the craft of soapmaking. Our goals include getting the whole family involved in the process and using other home-based businesses to fill our supply needs.

Michelle crafts each bar of Country Meadow soap in the country kitchen of the Pearson home on Stoney Knoll Farm in northwestern Illinois. She uses vegetable-based oils and butters such as coconut oil, olive oil, mango butter, shea butter, soybean oil, and other quality ingredients to create a bar of soap the whole family is sure to love. Essential oils and synthetic fragrance oils added to the soap will fill your home with lovely scents before you use it, and herbs added to some batches add a special touch.

Each bar of Country Meadow soap is a present ready to give.

Each bar of Country Meadow soap is individually wrapped in fabric and embellished to create a unique package to present as a gift or to grace your bathroom, guest room, or other areas of your home. The fabric allows the soap to "breathe", releasing the scent of the soap into the air and allowing you to enjoy it before you use it.

At this time we can only accept PayPal payments. However, you may use a credit card through PayPal if you have a PayPal account. You may also contact Michelle at stoneyknoll@lrnet1.com with your order and arrange to send a check or money order. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In addition to handcrafted soaps, we also offer special hand-poured glycerin soaps created by Michelle's son, Sean, as well as hand-poured glycerin soaps created by Michelle. Kids love using Sean's Soaps in the tub and Michelle's hand-decorated glycerin soaps are perfect for birthdays, bridal or baby showers, wedding receptions, or for any event where you want to treat your guests to something special.

Country Meadow Soapworks also offers gift baskets. Each basket is custom-designed according to the recipient's likes and interests. Michelle has created baskets for writers, teachers, new brides, cow lovers, pet lovers, graduates, and more.

TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE: Other items include handmade pine crates made by Michelle's husband, Jeff. (Jeff's Crates) These adorable crates are perfect for soapmakers or other crafters to use in creating those special gift packages for customers.

We also gladly take custom orders. Don't see your favorite fragrance on the order page? Let us know what you'd like and it's highly likely we can find it for you and create a special batch of soap just for you. Unscented soap is also available for those who may have sensitivities to fragrances.

When ordering, please allow two to six weeks for shipping.
Soaps require a curing time and custom batches are made-to-order.
If you are shopping for a gift, please inquire as to what soaps are currently in stock and available for immediate shipping.
We'll gladly ship your gift and include a card for the recipient.

Soap made by the cold process method requires a three- to six-week curing time to ensure a hard, moisturizing bar of soap.
